I've been working at advertising in a grass roots sort of way, which in other words means, I'm giving a whole bunch of cupcakes away in hopes that when someone wants a dozen or two they will think of me and order my cupcakes. So last week I just about baked myself crazy! I had two functions that I was donating for and since I'm not one to under do stuff, I decided to make 12 batches of cupcakes, each one requiring a different frosting! Am I crazy? YES I am.
My plans are to blog for you each flavor individually, with pictures and such, but like I've stated, I'm trying to start a business and well, if I give out my baking secrets, then why would people buy from me when they could just make it themselves? So if you're looking for recipes, you're reading the wrong blog - no apologies.
Hefeweizen Cuptail with Lemon Buttercream frosting
I'm not sure why I picked this one to bake first but I did. Perhaps because it's my husbands favorite beer and well, here's a little secret, not a whole beer goes into the batter, which means someone has to finish off the rest of the beer........Anyway here are a few pictures.
So I put the dry and the wet together, put them in cupcake pans and think to myself, wow, 1 batch down, 11 to go (crazy woman).
These are such pretty cupcakes when they come out of the oven and the smell........hhhmmmmm!
Well, cupcakes without frosting aren't desirable (unless you call them muffins) so on top of each of these mini cakes, goes a lemon butter cream - light and lemony (I know, probably not a word but this is baking, not English).
That's my Hefeweizen Cuptial story and I'm sticking to it!
